1. What we sell
Starleads sells compiled business contact lists (“data lists”) for business-to-business (B2B) marketing, sales prospecting and market research. Each list is described on its product page, with a free sample of real records and the share of records that contain each field.
Data is compiled from business directories and other sources and is cleaned and de-duplicated, but contact details change over time. We do not promise that every record is current, complete or accurate, or that any contact will respond to you.
2. Your licence
When your payment is confirmed you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the purchased data within your own business. You may not:
- resell, rent, share, publish or give away the data, in full or in part, or combine it into a product for others;
- use it to harass, defraud or mislead anyone, or for any unlawful purpose;
- use it to contact people for purposes unrelated to their business or profession;
- use it for credit, insurance, employment or tenancy decisions about individuals.
Delivered files carry the buyer's name and order number. Each file also contains a few uniquely marked records: fictitious businesses whose contact details lead back to us. They count towards neither the number of records you pay for nor the delivered count, and they let us trace a copied or resold file back to the order it came from.
3. Your responsibilities when contacting people
- Before any promotional call or SMS, check each number against the National Customer Preference Register (NCPR / DND) and follow the TRAI Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations.
- Identify yourself and your business clearly in every call, message and email, and give an easy way to opt out.
- Stop contacting anyone who asks you to, and delete their details from your systems.
- Comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and every other law that applies to your use of the data. You are the data fiduciary for your own use of the data.
4. Accounts
Keep your password safe and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. Give accurate billing details — invoices are issued in the name you enter at checkout.
5. Prices, payment and delivery
Prices are shown in Indian rupees and are what you pay: no GST is added at checkout. Discounts for buying several lists together and coupons are applied as shown in the cart. You pay by UPI (or bank transfer, where offered) and tell us the payment reference; your order is delivered once we have matched the payment with our account, usually within a few working hours. Download links stay active for 30 days and up to 5 downloads per file. You can renew a link once, within 30 days of delivery, from your order page; after that, write to us.
Custom lists you make with the list builder are prepared from your selection when you order. Their counts can change slightly when our data is refreshed; you pay for, and receive, the records that match on the day you order.
6. Reviews
Only buyers whose order was delivered can review a list. We check reviews before publishing them and publish critical ones as well as positive ones; we do not edit them. We may reject reviews that are abusive, off-topic, promotional or that contain someone's personal details.
7. Refunds
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
8. Suspension
We may cancel an order, suspend an account or disable download links if we reasonably believe these terms are being broken, for example if data is being resold or used for spam or fraud.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or business opportunities. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
