1. Customers of this website
When you create an account or place an order we collect your name, email address, mobile number, company name, billing address and state, your orders and any payment reference (UTR) you give us, and technical data such as your IP address and the times you download files. If you send a custom data request, write a review or search the catalogue, we keep what you sent or typed. If you continue with Google, Google shares your name and e-mail address with us (and nothing else); we use them only to create and sign in to your account (and, if you choose, to send you the e-mails described below).
We use this to run your account, deliver your orders, issue invoices, prevent fraud and misuse of our data, answer your questions, improve the catalogue and meet legal and tax obligations. We do not sell customer data. If you choose to receive our e-mails about new lists, offers and guides (an unticked box at sign-up or checkout, a question on your account page, or the switch in Edit profile), we use your name and e-mail address to send them through our e-mail provider, Brevo, and keep a record of when and how you agreed. You can stop them at any time with the unsubscribe link in every e-mail or the switch in Edit profile; e-mails about your orders are not affected. You pay by UPI or bank transfer directly to our account, so we never see your card, UPI PIN or bank login. If you pay by PayPal or card, PayPal processes the payment under its own privacy statement and tells us only the amount, the payment reference and that it went through.
2. People and businesses listed in our data
Our lists contain business contact information — business names, the names and designations of contact persons, business phone numbers, email addresses, websites and addresses — compiled from business directories and similar sources. It is provided to our customers for business-to-business marketing and prospecting only, under terms that forbid resale and require them to respect Do-Not-Disturb preferences and opt-out requests.
We do not sell lists of students, patients or consumers, or data about religion, caste, health, finances or other sensitive matters.
3. Removing your details
If your details appear in our data and you do not want them to, use the Remove my data page or write to starleads.in@gmail.com. Once we verify the request, the phone numbers and email addresses concerned are added to a suppression list and are excluded from every future sample and download.
4. Sharing
We share customer data only with service providers who help us run the website (hosting and email delivery), with authorities where the law requires it, and with professional advisers under confidentiality. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to that conversation.
5. Storage and security
Data is stored on secured servers with access limited to staff who need it; staff accounts need a second login step. Download links are unique to the buyer, expire and are logged. We keep customer and order records for as long as needed for the purposes above and for tax and legal record-keeping. If you delete your account, your profile, saved lists and reviews are erased; orders and invoices are kept without your login, as tax law requires.
6. Your rights
You can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, withdraw consent where our processing relies on it, and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. Write to starleads.in@gmail.com; we respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
7. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, remember your cart and protect forms from forgery. Your browser also remembers your light or dark theme and your recent searches, on your device only, and the installable app keeps our offline page and style files. We also use Google Analytics to learn how the site is used: it sets its own cookies (whose names start with _ga) and tells us which pages are visited, the type of device and browser, the approximate location (city level) and how visitors found us; when you place an order, it also records which lists were ordered and their value. Google Analytics does not give us your name, phone number or email address, and we have turned off its advertising features. We also measure our own Google ads: if you arrive by clicking one of our ads, Google Ads sets a cookie (whose name starts with _gcl) so that it can count whether that click led to an order, with the order's number and value. We use this only to see which ads work. Remarketing and ad personalisation are turned off, so it is not used to follow you with ads elsewhere, and we never send Google your name, phone number or email address. You can block these cookies in your browser's settings; Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on stops Google Analytics. We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used: it records clicks, scrolling and how pages move (session replays and heatmaps) and sets its own cookies (such as _clck and _clsk). On the checkout, order and account pages every word is hidden from these recordings, so they show only where people click and scroll; Clarity never receives payment details. Microsoft's privacy statement applies to Clarity, and our staff's own visits are not recorded.
8. Grievance Officer
Questions about how we process personal data, requests under section 6 above and complaints go to our Grievance Officer: starleads.in@gmail.com. We acknowledge every grievance and resolve it within one month.
