The Wikipedia article on Vijayawada says the railway station dates from 1888, is a junction for trains from Hyderabad, Chennai, Machilipatnam and Visakhapatnam, and houses the headquarters of the Vijayawada railway division.
• Trade and storage. The same article describes the city as a storage, bottling and transport hub for petroleum products of BPCL, HPCL and IOCL, and names the Nunna mango market as "one of the largest mango markets in Asia". Its commercial centres are Besant Road, Rajagopalachari Street and the One Town market area, which includes Kaleswara Rao Market.
• People. The 2011 Census counted 10,21,806 people in the city (as quoted in that article), and the article calls it the second most populous city in Andhra Pradesh.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an official register, so we use it only for background and say so where we do. The SEZ list matters for a different reason too: it also names a second IT/ITES zone at Keesarapalli, Gannavaram Mandal (Ace Urban Hitech City, formerly L&T Hitech City), of which most of the notified area has been de-notified, leaving 2.60 hectares. • Two PIN codes cover most of the directory sample. 24 of the 60 rows have PIN 520002 (Governorpet, Suryaraopet, Eluru Road), 14 have 520010 (Labbipet, Benz Circle, MG Road) and 7 have 520007 (Autonagar and Patamata). The rest are spread over eight other city PIN codes.
• Autonagar shows up as engineering, not only repair. The Autonagar rows include an auto engineering works, a lubricants company, a lift maker and a castings company in an industrial estate. In the owners sample, at least 11 of the 60 businesses are in the vehicle trade: radiators, tyres, power steering and automotive engineering works.
• The directory is broad. The same 60 rows hold hospitals and clinics, schools and coaching academies, tile and bath showrooms, software and web firms, brand offices (an appliance maker's sales office, a telecom company's regional office) and book shops. For an industrial campaign, filter by name and address first.
• The person is often the owner. In the directory sample, 23 contacts are owners and 9 proprietors, against 17 managers and 8 directors. In the owners list, every row is a named owner with a mobile, but there is no email or address.

Where the lists fall short

• No manufacturing list for Vijayawada alone. Starleads has no ready-made "manufacturing companies in Vijayawada" list. One paperwork point: Vijayawada is now the headquarters of NTR district, but older records, directories and some state lists may still show Krishna as the district for firms in and around the city. TRAI's Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2025 require access providers to ensure that commercial communication takes place only using registered headers or numbers from the special series allotted to senders; the explanatory note says promotional auto-dialer and robo calls should use 140-series numbers. • Complaints and penalties. Under the same amendment, a recipient must complain within seven days. Where a sender draws complaints from five or more different recipients in ten days and is found to have sent unsolicited communication, the first violation bars all its outgoing telecom resources for fifteen days; a second leads to disconnection for one year and blacklisting.
• Consent for follow-ups. At the end of the first call, ask how the business wants your details, note the answer and the date, and stop when someone says no. Email follows the same courtesy: say who you are, why you are writing, and how to opt out.
