Tofler in short
Tofler is a company-information site for Indian businesses. It shows financial statements, directors and shareholders, MCA filings and risk scores, and according to its website it covers "over 10 million Indian businesses". People use it to check a company before a deal, a credit decision or a vendor approval, and to research a market. Contact details such as mobile numbers are not among the features it lists.
Tofler pricing: you can open a free account, and paid plans are priced plus GST. Pro is ₹15,000 + GST for one year with 40 credits, Growth is ₹28,000 + GST, and Enterprise starts at ₹1.5 lakh + GST. Extra credits are listed at ₹349 + GST. Excel and PDF downloads come with Growth, or with Pro when you use credits, and an API with Enterprise.
Starleads does a different job. It sells ready-made Excel lists of Indian businesses and professionals by industry, state and city, with mobile numbers and emails where available, for reaching them. If your question is "is this company sound?", Tofler and its rivals are the right tools. If it is "who can I sell to?", a contact list is. Where Tofler is the better choice
- You need a company's financials. Tofler shows company financials and MCA filings. Starleads lists hold contact details, not balance sheets or profit figures.
- You want to know who owns and runs a company. Directors and shareholders are part of Tofler's data. A Starleads list may name a contact person, but it doesn't show ownership.
- You are deciding on credit or a deal. Filings and risk scores help you judge whether a customer or supplier is sound. A contact list can't tell you that.
- You need data in your own systems. Tofler offers an API on Enterprise. Starleads has no API or CRM integration.
Where Starleads is the better choice
- You want to reach businesses, not study them. Starleads lists are built for calling and email, with the share of rows that have a mobile, an email, an address and a contact name shown on every list page.
- Your customers aren't all companies. MCA records cover companies and LLPs only. Starleads lists are compiled from business directories and similar sources, so they include shops, clinics, traders and other firms whatever their legal form.

Starleads' limits: not every row has an email or a named person, contact details change, and you can't look up one named executive. Payment is by UPI or bank transfer, confirmed by hand. Our verdict
For checking companies, Tofler fits well: financials, directors, shareholders and risk scores in one place, from ₹15,000 + GST a year. If you check only a few companies, Zauba Corp's single reports or the free MCA search may be enough. Starleads is not a substitute for any of them. It is for the next step, reaching the businesses you want to sell to, and suits buyers who want a whole industry or city in Excel for one price.
