The short answer
There is no single best B2B data provider in India, because the word covers four different kinds of service. Pick by what you need to do:
- Find the mobile number or email of a named person at a company you already know: a contact-finder tool such as EasyLeadz, Zintlr, Lusha or Apollo.io.
- Get every business of one kind in a city or state, for calling, visits or email: a ready-made list, such as the lists Starleads sells.
- Research a company before a deal: a company-information database such as Tofler, Dun & Bradstreet or InfobelPRO, or the free records on the MCA and GST portals.
- Receive enquiries from buyers who are already looking: a marketplace or directory such as IndiaMART or Justdial.

What each kind of provider does well, and where it falls short
Contact-finder tools: EasyLeadz, Zintlr, Lusha and Apollo.io
You look up a person, usually from a LinkedIn profile or a company website, and the tool shows a mobile number or email, using a credit each time. They are the right tool when you already know who you want: the CFO of a listed company, the head of procurement at a manufacturer. EasyLeadz and Zintlr focus on Indian numbers. Apollo.io and Lusha are global platforms; Apollo adds email sequences and a CRM-style workspace. The limits: credits run out quickly when you need hundreds or thousands of contacts, exports are often reserved for higher plans, and coverage of small Indian businesses without a LinkedIn presence, such as shops, clinics and contractors, is thin.
Ready-made lists: Starleads
A ready-made list gives you every business of one kind in a place in one file: dentists in Jaipur, transporters in Ludhiana, purchase heads in Maharashtra. It suits businesses that sell to many small customers and call or visit them by area. Starleads sells 6,909 such lists across 201 industries and 414 cities, each with 60 real sample contacts on its page and the share of rows with a mobile, an email and an address. The limits are honest ones too: the data is compiled from business directories and similar sources, so not every row has an email or a named person, numbers change over time, and you can't look up one specific executive the way a contact-finder does.
Marketplaces and directories: IndiaMART and Justdial
These are not data sellers. IndiaMART's paid packages let suppliers open buyers' requirements, called BuyLeads, and contact those buyers; Justdial's paid listings bring enquiries from people searching locally. They work well when buyers come looking for your product. Neither sells a downloadable list of businesses, and Justdial's terms of use forbid copying its listings in bulk, which is why Justdial extractors are a risk.
Company-information databases: Dun & Bradstreet, InfobelPRO, Kompass and Tofler
These describe companies: registration details, financials, directors, ownership, size and industry codes. Dun & Bradstreet and InfobelPRO sell mainly to large organisations on quoted prices; Kompass is strongest on manufacturers and exporters; Tofler, from ₹15,000 + GST a year, shows financial statements and director details from MCA filings. Use them for due diligence, credit checks and market sizing rather than for calling lists. For a quick free check of one company, the MCA and GST look-ups are enough.
Which provider fits what you want to do
- Sell to businesses in one city or industry (clinics, shops, contractors, traders): a ready-made list for that city, or the city's business directory. Start from cities and states.
- Get on companies' approved vendor lists: the people who buy, in the Purchase & Procurement Heads list (7,19,174 contacts). The purchase-manager guide explains vendor registration.
- Reach a handful of named executives at large companies: a contact-finder tool's free plan may be enough.
- Reach the decision-maker in small firms: Business Owners & Proprietors (3,27,366) or CEOs, MDs & Directors (36,173).
- Run email campaigns abroad or to IT companies: Apollo.io or Lusha.
- Check a company before a deal: its MCA record and GST registration, or Tofler for financials.
- Get buyers to come to you: an IndiaMART seller package or a Justdial listing.

A 10-point checklist before you pay any provider
- Real sample rows from the exact data you will get, not a generic demo.
- Field coverage: the share of rows with a mobile, an email, a contact name and an address.
- A build or update date, so you know how fresh it is.
- De-duplication: one business once, not three times under different spellings.
- The source explained in plain words: directories, websites, registrations, member lists.
- A usable format: Excel or CSV with separate columns for city, state and PIN code.
- The price per usable contact, not per row or per credit.
- Delivery and an invoice: how and when you receive the data, and a proper invoice for your books.
- A removal process: a way for people to have their details taken out.
- Guidance on lawful use: DND rules for calls and SMS, opt-outs for email. Our DND check guide explains them.
Warning signs of a bad data seller
- "Crores of contacts" for a few hundred rupees, with no sample.
- Sold only over WhatsApp, with no company name, address or invoice.
- Promises that every one of millions of numbers is "100% verified".
- Personal data such as bank customers, students or patients. It is not B2B data, and using it can put your business at legal risk.
- No way to see what is inside until you pay, and no refund if the file does not match the description.
How Starleads answers the checklist
- Every list shows 60 real contacts and has a free Excel sample.
- Every list shows the share of contacts with each field before you buy, and the month it was rebuilt.
- Contacts are cleaned and de-duplicated, with mobile numbers in +91 format.
- 6,909 ready-made lists across 201 industries and 414 cities, each for ₹499 (bulk data, one industry across all of India, ₹1,999), paid by UPI or bank transfer, delivered as an Excel file in your account with an invoice.
- Anyone can ask to have their details removed on our Remove my data page, and every list page explains the DND rules.

Questions people ask
Which is the best B2B data provider in India?
It depends on the job. For a named executive's mobile number, a contact-finder tool such as EasyLeadz or Zintlr; for every business of one kind in a city, a ready-made list such as Starleads; for company research, Tofler or Dun & Bradstreet; for inbound buyer enquiries, IndiaMART.
Is it legal to buy B2B data in India?
Buying business contact data for business-to-business marketing is common. How you use it matters: promotional calls and SMS must respect the TRAI Do-Not-Disturb rules, emails need a clear way to opt out, and data about individuals is personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, so collect and use only what you need and remove people who ask.
What is the cheapest way to get business contacts in one city?
A ready-made list for that city and industry: ₹499 buys the whole Starleads list, whatever its size. Contact-finder tools charge per contact, which suits a few dozen names rather than a few thousand.
Do contact-finder tools work for small Indian businesses?
Less well. They are built around professional profiles, so they find executives at companies with an online presence. Shops, clinics, contractors and small traders are better covered by directory-based lists.
