Justdial alternatives: sites like Justdial vs Starleads

Sulekha, IndiaMART, Google Maps and Starleads against Justdial, for buyers and for sellers.

Starleads wrote this comparison and is one of the services compared. Facts about Justdial come from its own website, checked on 18 October 2026; prices change, so check before you buy.

Justdial in short

Justdial is a local search directory: people look up a business or service near them, and businesses appear as listings. A listing is free. Businesses that want more enquiries buy paid ads, and ad buyers receive "customer details over SMS, email and push notification", in Justdial's words. It claims 5.6 crore+ businesses listed and 19.2 crore+ buyers. It does not publish its ad prices, so the cost is on request.

For someone looking for businesses, Justdial works one search at a time. There is no bulk export, and its Terms of Use prohibit "data mining, scraping, crawling" and using the site to "compile a collection of listings". So a fair Justdial review depends on your side of it: it is a way to be found, and a way to find one business, but not a source of contact lists.

The sites usually named as Justdial's competitors are Sulekha, IndiaMART and Google Maps, covered below. Starleads does a different job: it sells ready-made Excel lists of businesses for outbound calls, emails and visits.

Justdial vs Starleads at a glance

Justdial's details are as shown on its free-listing page and Terms of Use on 18 October 2026; no ad prices are published there.

Where Justdial is the better choice

  • Customers find you. People who search Justdial are already looking for what you offer, in their area. A Starleads list is cold outreach to businesses that haven't asked to hear from you.
  • Individuals as well as businesses. If you sell to the public, such as a salon, a tutor or a repair service, Justdial's searchers include them. Starleads lists only businesses and professionals, never households.
  • A free start. The listing costs nothing, so a new local business can be found before it spends anything.
  • Finding one business. For the number of one shop or service provider today, a search is quicker than buying a list, and Justdial claims far more listings than any single file we sell.

Where Starleads is the better choice

  • Many businesses in one file. If you sell to businesses, say billing software to pharmacies in Pune, you need them in a spreadsheet, not one search result at a time. Justdial offers no export, and collecting its results in bulk, by hand or with an extractor, runs into its terms; our guide to Google Maps scrapers and Justdial extractors explains the risks.
  • You start the conversation. Instead of waiting for searches, your team calls, emails or visits the businesses you choose, area by area and PIN code by PIN code.
  • A known price. A city or state list costs ₹499, paid once, with no ad budget, subscription or GST.
  • Proof before payment. Every list page shows 60 real contacts and the share of rows with a mobile, an email and an address.

Our business directory holds 78,49,029 businesses of every kind, sold city by city and state by state (253 cities and 34 states). The biggest city directories:

For one trade in one place, browse cities and states or build a file with the list builder.

Starleads' limits: the data is compiled from business directories and similar sources, so not every row has an email or a named person, and contact details change. You can't look up one named executive. Payment is by UPI or bank transfer only, confirmed by hand. There is no API or CRM integration, and the lists cover India only. Calls and SMS must follow TRAI's DND rules; see our DND check guide.

Other Justdial alternatives

Sulekha is a local directory and lead marketplace for service businesses. Listing is free; paid enquiries are charged per lead from a prepaid balance, plus monthly platform charges, at rates shown only in its business app. See Sulekha vs Justdial.

IndiaMART is the B2B counterpart: a marketplace where business buyers post requirements for products and sellers open them with credits. Paid packages start at Rs. 40,000 for one year, exclusive of taxes. See IndiaMART alternatives.

Google Maps is the other place people look for local businesses, and a Google Business Profile puts you there free. Our guide to business directory websites lists the free places to list your own business.

For every kind of data provider side by side, see the B2B data providers comparison.

Our verdict

For a local business that wants customers to find it, Justdial is the right tool, and the free listing makes it easy to start; consider paid ads once you see enquiries coming in your category. For a business that sells to other businesses and wants to reach businesses of one kind across an area, Justdial can't give you that list, so a Starleads list fits better. If your customers are households, stay with Justdial or Sulekha: we don't sell consumer data.

Questions people ask

Is Justdial free?

A business listing is free. Paid ads, which bring customer details by SMS, email and push notification, are priced on request; Justdial doesn't publish the rates.

Justdial vs IndiaMART: which is better?

They serve different buyers. Justdial is a local search directory for people looking for a business or service near them. IndiaMART is a B2B marketplace where business buyers post requirements, with seller packages from Rs. 40,000 a year plus taxes. A shop or local service fits Justdial; a manufacturer or wholesaler fits IndiaMART.

Can I download data from Justdial?

No. There is no bulk export, and its Terms of Use prohibit data mining, scraping and crawling and compiling a collection of listings, which is what extractor tools do. For a file of businesses in a city, buy a list made for that purpose.

What is the best alternative to Justdial?

To be found: Sulekha for services, IndiaMART for B2B products, and a free Google Business Profile. To get a list of local businesses to contact: a ready-made list, such as a Starleads city directory.
