Factories, vineyards and markets in Nashik

People who search for a list of companies in Nashik usually want one of two things. Job seekers want the plants of Mahindra, Bosch and HAL. Sellers want every unit that might place an order, and in Nashik most of those are small: the vendors, job shops and traders that feed the big plants and the farm economy around the city.

  • Engineering and auto parts: the Satpur and Ambad MIDC areas hold most of the city's factories, from large plants to press shops, machine shops and fabricators. More units sit in the Sinnar MIDC and along the Mumbai highway towards Igatpuri, where Mahindra also has an engine plant.
  • Defence and security printing: HAL's aircraft division at Ozar, and the Currency Note Press and India Security Press at Nashik Road.
  • Grapes, wine and onions: vineyards and wineries around the city, Sula being the name most people know, grape exporters and pack houses, and the onion trade of Lasalgaon and the other market yards in the district.
  • Trade, pilgrims and services: the old markets near Panchavati, showrooms and offices on College Road and Gangapur Road, and the hotels, caterers and travel firms that serve visitors to Trimbakeshwar and the Simhastha Kumbh Mela, held here every twelve years.

Free registers and local bodies

  • NIMA (Nashik Industries and Manufacturers' Association) is the main local industry body. Its members are the established units; ask about its directory, which may be open to members only.
  • MIDC publishes its industrial areas and plot details for the Nashik region. That shows you where Satpur ends and Ambad begins, but gives no names or numbers.
  • MCA master data covers private limited companies and LLPs. Most job shops in the MIDC lanes are proprietorships or partnerships and are not on it.
  • The District Industries Centre deals with state subsidies and MSME paperwork for the district. Go there for scheme advice; it does not hand out contacts.

Who buys Nashik company data

  • Steel, fastener, tooling and cutting-oil suppliers for the press shops and machine shops that make parts for the large auto and engineering plants.
  • Crate, cold-chain, packaging and transport firms working with grape growers, pack houses and onion traders.
  • Glass bottle, label and closure suppliers for the wineries.
  • Accountants, insurers and software sellers for the city's owner-run shops and small firms.
  • Linen, kitchen equipment and printing suppliers for hotels and caterers before the pilgrimage seasons.

Getting replies from Nashik businesses

  1. Use Marathi when you can. Owners of small units and shops are most comfortable in Marathi, Hindi is widely understood, and managers in the large plants work in English. Our Hindi and English calling scripts are easy to adapt.
  2. Keep the first call short. Small-unit owners in Satpur and Ambad are usually on the shop floor. Try: "Namaskar, I make press tools for sheet-metal parts. Can I send you our capacity list on WhatsApp?" Send it only if they say yes.
  3. Watch the farm calendar. The grape harvest runs roughly from January to April, and growers, pack houses and exporters are hardest to reach at its peak. Talk to them about crates, packing and transport before the season starts.
  4. Plan the week, not just the call. A simple routine of calls, follow-ups and visits, like the one in our calling plan for contact lists, gets more out of a few hundred rows than a single round of calls.
  5. Respect DND. Check the rules for promotional calls and SMS before you start.

Nashik questions, answered

Which big companies have plants in Nashik?

Mahindra & Mahindra, Bosch and HAL are the names people know best, along with the two presses at Nashik Road and the wineries. Much of the local work, though, is in the small vendors that supply them.

Where can I get a Nashik industries list?

NIMA and MIDC are the official starting points, though neither gives you a sortable file with phone numbers. PDFs passed around online tend to be several years out of date. With a spreadsheet you can keep only Ambad's fabricators, say, or only the chemists on Gangapur Road.

What about factories outside the city limits?

Units in Sinnar, Igatpuri and Dindori often carry their own town in the address. The Maharashtra lists cover the whole state and can be filtered by town. For makers anywhere in India, see our manufacturing companies guide.
