List of companies in Hosur: SIPCOT units, sectors and contacts

What Hosur makes and where its factories sit, what the official sources say, what Starleads' Hosur and Tamil Nadu lists hold and where they fall short, and how to sell within TRAI's rules.

The quick answer

No government office publishes a list of companies in Hosur with the names, phone numbers and emails a supplier needs. The Tamil Nadu government's investment agency names Hosur as a centre for electronics, light engineering, automobiles and aerospace. The Krishnagiri district administration describes granite processing around the town. Neither gives a contact list. Starleads' Hosur Business Directory had 1,798 businesses on 28 October 2026, 94% of them with a mobile number and 53% with an email. A separate Business Owners & Proprietors in Hosur list had 595 owners, all with a mobile. Each list costs ₹499, and you can download 60 rows free before you decide.

This guide is for businesses that sell to Hosur's factories and workshops: raw material and tooling suppliers, job-work shops, logistics firms, software and automation vendors, packaging makers, recruiters and service providers. It covers what kinds of companies are in Hosur, where they sit, what the official sources say, what Starleads' data holds and where it falls short, and how to reach these companies within TRAI's rules. If you are looking for a job in a Hosur company, apply through the company's own careers page; this guide is about selling to businesses.

Companies in Hosur: what the town makes

Hosur is in Krishnagiri district, on the Tamil Nadu side of the border with Karnataka, on the main road from Bengaluru to Krishnagiri and Chennai. That position explains most of its industry. Factories here sit within a short drive of Bengaluru's suppliers, engineers and airport, but in Tamil Nadu's industrial estates and under Tamil Nadu's policies.

Guidance Tamil Nadu, the state government's investment promotion agency, describes the town's industries on its sector pages at investingintamilnadu.com (we read them on 28 October 2026):

  • Electronics. The electronics page calls Hosur-Krishnagiri "the upcoming Electronics Hub", says it hosts major electronics manufacturing services (EMS) and component players, and points to "integrated supply chains and proximity to Bangalore's tech ecosystem". The same page says Tamil Nadu exported $14.65 billion of electronics in FY25, 41.23% of India's electronics exports.
  • Light engineering. The light engineering page names Chennai, Coimbatore, Hosur and Tiruchirappalli as the state's engineering and automotive manufacturing hubs, whose big units "support dense regional supplier networks for castings, forgings, and precision components". Krishnagiri is one of its four light engineering clusters.
  • Automobiles and components. The automobile and EV page lists Krishnagiri among Tamil Nadu's auto clusters, next to Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Ranipet, Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli.
  • Aerospace and defence. The aerospace and defence page lists five nodes of the Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor, with Hosur's role given as "Aero/UAVs".

The Krishnagiri district's "district at a glance" page (read on 28 October 2026) adds the older trade: black granite is found in Hosur and Denkanikottai, and "granite processing units, which make slabs of granite, finished and decorated beautifully" are located mainly in Hosur's surroundings, with slabs exported to America, England, Australia and other European countries. The same page gives the district's area as 5,143 sq km and its 2011 Census population as 18,79,809, of whom 4,28,363 lived in towns. It notes that Tamil, Telugu and Kannada are all widely spoken, and that national highways including the Sarjapur-Bagalur-Hosur road run through the district.

For a seller, that adds up to a town with a few very large plants, a ring of tier-1 and tier-2 suppliers, and a long tail of small machine shops, fabricators, rubber and plastic moulders, granite units and service firms. Most of a supplier's real customers are in the second and third groups.

Where Hosur's companies are: estates, roads and PIN codes

We read the 60 rows in the free sample of Starleads' Hosur Business Directory to see where the businesses actually sit. That is a small sample, not the whole list, but it shows how a Hosur file looks:

  • Two PIN codes cover almost everything. 31 of the 60 rows have PIN 635109 and 23 have 635126. Many of the 635126 addresses are in the SIPCOT industrial complex and the SIDCO industrial estate. The remaining six rows use 635117 (two, with Shoolagiri or Soolagiri addresses), 635110 (two), 635103 and 635114.
  • The estates are named in the addresses. 16 of the 60 addresses mention SIPCOT (with phases such as "Sipcot Phase-1" and "Sipcot Phase -II, NH-7, Krishnagiri Road") and 10 mention SIDCO. Others give roads such as Bagalur Road, Rayakottah Road, Denkanikotta Road, the Krishnagiri Road and the Bangalore Road, or villages such as Mookandapalli and Nallur.
  • Some "Hosur" rows are outside the town. Two sample rows have Shoolagiri addresses further along the Krishnagiri road, and others are in villages around the estates. Plan visits by PIN code and road, not by the city column alone.
Area in the addressWhat you will find there (from the sample)How to plan it
SIPCOT industrial complex (phases I and II)Auto plants and their suppliers, PCB makers, precision engineering, chemical equipment, blowersOne day per phase; factory gates keep shift hours, so call ahead for a pass
SIDCO industrial estateSmall CNC shops, rubber and polymer units, packaging, toolingMany small units close together: good for a walking day with samples
Bangalore Road and the town centre (635109)Offices, dealers, agents, service firms, consultants, hotelsMix of buyers and other sellers; useful for channel partners
Krishnagiri Road (NH-7) and Shoolagiri side (635117)Larger plants, granite and food units on the highwayLonger drives between units; book appointments first
Bagalur, Rayakottah and Denkanikotta roadsMixed industrial units and newer parksCheck exact location on a map before you go

If you sell to big plants, remember that the purchase office may not be in Hosur at all. A large company's Hosur unit may buy through a central purchase team in Bengaluru or Chennai, while its local stores and maintenance teams decide on small items. Ask on your first call where the purchase order is raised.

What Starleads' data shows for Hosur

The figures below are counts of contacts in Starleads' data as shown on the list pages on 28 October 2026. They are not an official census of Hosur's businesses, and the lists overlap: the same company can appear in more than one. Starleads sells two lists for Hosur itself; for most industries, Hosur's companies sit inside the Tamil Nadu state lists.

What the numbers say:

  • Hosur punches above its size in electronics. In the Tamil Nadu electrical and electronics manufacturers list, Hosur is third with 93 rows, ahead of Madurai (62) and Tiruchirappalli (44), both much bigger cities. That matches the state's own description of Hosur as an electronics hub.
  • It is a buyer's town, not only a maker's. 99 purchase and procurement heads in Tamil Nadu's list are in Hosur, more than in Tiruchirappalli (93) or Madurai (61). For anyone who sells raw material, tools or services, those are the people to reach.
  • Factory lists are landline and email lists. The electrical, machinery and purchase lists have mobiles for few rows but landlines for around nine in ten and emails for about three in four. Plan an email first, then a call to the office line, not a mobile campaign.
  • The town directory is the mobile list. 94% of the Hosur Business Directory has a mobile number; 66% names the contact person and 84% has a PIN code. It suits calling and WhatsApp follow-ups once you have consent.

If you sell to electronics makers beyond Hosur, the Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers in India list has 40,304 companies across India, 53% of them with a mobile number. The biggest city lists are below.

Where the lists fall short

We read the free sample of the Hosur Business Directory before writing this. Know these problems before you buy:

  • Duplicates under different spellings. Ashok Leyland's Unit 2 appears twice in the 60-row sample, once spelt "Lelaynd", with two different contact people. TTK Prestige and a systems firm also appear twice. Big plants have many departments, so two rows can be two real contacts, but sort by company name before you dial so two of your callers don't ring the same plant.
  • Not every row is a factory. The sample also has a hotel, a school, a property firm and two advertising agencies. They are real Hosur businesses but not buyers of tooling or raw material; filter them out for an industrial campaign.
  • The category column is often empty or wrong. Many rows have no category, and a few have a phone number where the category should be. Use the company name and website to judge what a firm makes.
  • Starleads covers a part of Hosur, not all of it. 1,798 businesses is far fewer than the town has. Treat the list as a fast start, then add the companies you meet at the estate gates and in association directories.

There is no Hosur list yet for individual industries such as auto parts or CNC job shops. You can buy a Tamil Nadu list and filter its City column for Hosur, use the list builder to choose Hosur with only the rows that have a mobile or an email, or request a custom list. Starleads does not promise that every number still works; contact details change, which is why the sample is free.

Official places to check a Hosur company

A contact list tells you who to call. Before you give credit or sign a supply contract, check the company in the official registers. These sources are free:

SourceWhat it tells youWhen to use it
MCA company master dataLegal name, CIN, status (active or struck off), registered office, directorsBefore credit terms or a contract with a private or public limited company
GST taxpayer searchWhether a GSTIN is active, the legal and trade name, the state and type of registrationBefore raising a tax invoice; match the GSTIN on the purchase order
Udyam registrationWhether a unit is a registered micro, small or medium enterpriseWhen the buyer asks you for MSME status, or when MSME payment terms apply to you

The company's own websitePlants, products, certifications, supplier registration pagesBefore the first call, to know what the plant makes

The district's Industries page (read on 28 October 2026) says the District Industries Centre works under Tamil Nadu's MSME department, helps entrepreneurs prepare project profiles for bank assistance under the NEEDS, UYEGP and PMEGP schemes, and helps MSMEs get clearances through the Single Window Clearance Committee. It lists the General Manager's office at the SIDCO Estate in Krishnagiri, phone 04343 235567. Our company search guide walks through the MCA, GST, IEC and Udyam look-ups step by step.

How to win your first orders in Hosur, step by step

  1. Pick one kind of buyer. "Hosur companies" is too broad to sell to. Choose, for example, SIDCO machine shops that buy inserts, or SIPCOT electronics plants that buy packaging. Filter the list down to them.
  2. Clean the file. Remove the hotels, schools and agents, merge the duplicates, and sort by PIN code and road. Add a column for what each company makes, from its website.
  3. Find the supplier registration route. Large plants usually register new vendors through a form, a portal or an email to purchase. Look on the company website for "supplier", "vendor registration" or "procurement" before you call; it saves weeks.
  4. Email first, then call the office. For plants, send a short email with your product, two relevant customers you can name with their permission, your GST number and a price range. Two working days later, call the landline and ask for the person who handles that item.
  5. Call small units on the owner's mobile, at the right time. Owners of small units are on the shop floor in the morning. Late morning or after lunch is usually easier. Open in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu or English, whichever the person answers in. For example: "Vanakkam sir, I supply carbide inserts from Bengaluru. We already deliver to two units in SIDCO every week. Which inserts do you use most on your CNC lathes?"
  6. Visit with samples, one area a day. Use your PIN code sort to plan. SIDCO units are close together; SIPCOT plants need appointments and gate passes.
  7. Offer a trial order and keep delivery promises. Hosur's plants run to production schedules. A first small order delivered on time matters more than a low price, and it is how most suppliers get on the approved list.
  8. Check before you give credit. Look up the GSTIN and the MCA status, as in the table above, before you agree to 30 or 60 days' credit.

Calling, SMS and email within the rules

Many small units in Hosur list the owner's personal mobile as the company number. TRAI's rules on commercial communication apply to those numbers whichever list they came from:

  • DND (NCPR). TRAI's customer preference registration page (checked on 28 October 2026) lets anyone block commercial communication fully or by category, by mode (calls and SMS, auto-dialer calls, robo calls), by time band and by day, through SMS or a call to 1909, an app or a web portal. "Consumer goods and automobiles" is one of the eight categories, so an owner in the auto trade may have blocked exactly the kind of promotion you plan. Check numbers before a promotional campaign; our DND check guide shows how.
  • Registered senders, headers and DLT. TRAI's February 2025 amendment to the commercial communication regulations says access providers must ensure commercial communication "takes place only using registered headers or the number resources allotted to the Senders from special series". In practice: send SMS through a DLT-registered provider with an approved header and template (our DLT registration guide explains how), and make promotional calls from a registered number series, not a personal mobile.
  • Complaints are easy to make. The same amendment lets a person complain about an unregistered sender without having registered any preference first, and sets a window of seven days from the call or message to complain. A string of complaints can get a sender's numbers suspended. The safest calls are the ones the business has asked for.
  • Consent for follow-ups. At the end of the first call, ask how the company wants your catalogue (email, WhatsApp or SMS), note the answer and the date, and stop when someone says no.

Starleads sells lists of businesses and professionals only. It does not sell lists of factory workers, job seekers or any other private individuals, and a company list must never be used to reach employees at home. For the bigger picture of Starleads' data across India, see the Insights figures.

Questions people ask

Which is the biggest company in Hosur?

No official source we read ranks Hosur's companies by size. Names that appear with Hosur addresses in Starleads' free sample include Ashok Leyland (Unit 2, in SIPCOT Phase 2), TVS Motor, TTK Prestige, Terex India and Fiem Industries (Unit 5). Titan's own website mentions awards won by its watch division and precision engineering division in Hosur. Check each company's annual report or website for the size of its Hosur plant.

What companies are there in Hosur?

According to the Tamil Nadu government's investment agency, Hosur's industry is mainly electronics, light engineering and automotive, and Hosur is the aerospace and drones node of the state's defence corridor. The Krishnagiri district administration adds granite processing. Starleads' Hosur sample also shows PCB makers, CNC job shops, rubber and polymer units, chemical equipment makers and many service firms.

How many industries are in Hosur?

We did not find an official count for the town that we could check today. Starleads' Hosur Business Directory had 1,798 businesses on 28 October 2026. That is a count of contacts in Starleads' data, not a census, and the town has many more units than that.

Is there a free list of companies in Hosur?

The government registers (MCA, GST, Udyam) are free to search one company at a time, but they do not give you a contact person. Starleads' Hosur list has a free 60-row sample in Excel or PDF. Older PDF lists of SIPCOT companies are shared online, but check the date on them: companies close, move and change their phone numbers.

Can I get a list of only the SIPCOT companies in Hosur?

Not as a ready-made list. Buy the Hosur directory and filter the address column for "SIPCOT" or "SIDCO", or filter by PIN code. In the free sample, 16 of 60 addresses mentioned SIPCOT and 10 mentioned SIDCO.

Are Hosur companies in the Bangalore lists?

No. Hosur is in Tamil Nadu, so its companies are in the Hosur and Tamil Nadu lists, not the Bengaluru ones, even when their sales office is in Bengaluru. If you sell to both, buy both and remove duplicates by company name and GSTIN.

Can I use these lists to find job vacancies?

These lists are for businesses selling to businesses. For jobs, apply through each company's careers page or a recruitment agency; don't call purchase or owners' numbers about vacancies.
