Who is in a digital marketing agencies list

A digital marketing agencies list is useful to two kinds of business: those that sell tools and services to agencies, and those that want agencies to resell for them. Before you build one, know how the trade is split, because Indian listings put many of these firms under the same few labels:

  • Full-service and network agencies handling brand, creative and media for large advertisers, mostly in Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Bengaluru.
  • Independent digital agencies doing social media, search, performance ads and websites, usually small teams serving clients in one or two industries.
  • Specialists: SEO shops, influencer agencies, video production houses, PR firms and media buyers.
  • Outdoor and print: hoarding owners, flex printers and offset printers who also sell "advertising".
  • Design studios and freelancers, including graphic designers who work for agencies on contract.
  • Event and activation agencies running launches, exhibitions and in-store promotions.

Finding agencies on your own

There are several free places to start, each with a catch:

  1. Industry bodies. The Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) lists its member agencies, mostly larger and older firms. Many small digital agencies are not members.
  2. Platform partner directories. Google and Meta both publish searchable directories of partner agencies. You get the agency's name, city and website, not the founder's number.
  3. Award shortlists and agency review sites show who is active and what work they do, but they lean towards agencies that pay to enter awards or to be featured.
  4. LinkedIn and Instagram. Agencies market themselves here, so their pages tell you a lot. Messaging hundreds by hand is slow, and the platforms cap it.
  5. Official look-ups. GST and MCA searches confirm an agency's legal name and status once you know it. They do not help you find agencies in the first place.

Our advertising agencies list, city by city

The Advertising & Media Agencies list has 89,915 agencies and media firms in 208 cities. 91% have a mobile number, 80% an email address and 59% a contact name. 97% have a category, and that column matters here: the list covers the whole advertising and media trade, from digital and creative agencies to printers and production houses, so filter on it to keep the firms you want.

Designers and event agencies

Agencies hire freelance designers and work alongside event firms, so these lists are often bought together:

If you want a list of advertising agencies in India as a whole, take the All-India file; the agencies list is also sold for 17 states and 22 cities. For a handful of cities, or agencies plus designers in one sheet, use the list builder.

Who sells to agencies, and who sells through them

  • Software makers: social media schedulers, SEO and analytics tools, client reporting dashboards, design and video tools, and project management.
  • White-label teams: web and app developers, content writers, video editors and ad operations staff who work under the agency's name.
  • Printers and fabricators: offset and digital printers, standee and signage makers, and exhibition stall builders.
  • Production and talent: studios, voice-over artists, talent coordinators and stock photo and music libraries.
  • Office and hiring: co-working spaces, laptops, job portals and payroll services.

Agencies also choose tools for their clients, so many vendors treat them as a sales channel. Website builders, hosting companies, CRM vendors and Business Solution Providers for the WhatsApp Business Platform often run agency partner programmes that pay a margin or a referral fee for each client an agency brings.

Pitching an agency founder

  1. Study their work first. Agencies are proud of their portfolios, and a line that shows you looked at a recent campaign earns attention.
  2. Sell capacity or margin, not features. Founders care about taking on more clients without hiring, and earning more on each one.
  3. Reach out late morning. Many agency days start late and finish late, so 11 am to 1 pm is a good window. Avoid the first few working days of the month, when teams are busy with client reports and invoices.
  4. Use a short, specific opener, for example: "Hi Rohan, we are a twelve-person Shopify team in Indore. Agencies in Mumbai use us white-label for store builds at a fixed price, so they can take on bigger retainers without hiring. Shall I send two recent builds?"
  5. Be ready for their questions: turnaround time, who talks to the client, confidentiality and a promise not to approach their clients, pricing per project or per month, and samples of past work.
  6. Offer a small paid trial, fixed in scope, rather than a long contract.

Email suits a first approach to agencies, because the founder can open your samples when it suits them. Set up your sending domain properly first, then adapt our cold email templates.

Questions people ask

Does the list separate digital agencies from traditional advertising agencies?

Partly. The category column shows how each firm describes itself, but many agencies do both and the labels overlap. Check the website of anyone you plan to call more than once.

I run an agency. Can lists help me find clients?

Yes, that is a common use: pick the industries you already serve and the cities you can visit. Our guide on finding B2B clients and sales leads covers other routes too.

Can I message agencies on WhatsApp?

Only with care. Business-initiated messages need the person's opt-in and an approved template on the WhatsApp Business Platform, and unofficial bulk tools get numbers banned. Our WhatsApp marketing guide sets out the rules.
