Hospitals in Bangalore: list with contact numbers

Bangalore's hospitals and nursing homes for suppliers and service firms: the registers, and a list with phone numbers.

Bangalore's hospitals, seen from the supplier's side

Most pages that come up for a hospitals in Bangalore list are written for patients. This one is for the other side of the counter: firms that supply, service or staff hospitals in Bangalore (Bengaluru). If you need treatment, call the hospital itself, and in an emergency dial 112, or 108 for an ambulance.

For a seller, the city's hospitals fall into five groups:

  • Large private hospitals along Bannerghatta Road, Old Airport Road and Hosur Road, and in Whitefield and Hebbal, many of them part of groups that approve suppliers at head office.
  • Nursing homes and maternity homes in the older residential areas of the south and west, such as Jayanagar, Basavanagudi, Malleshwaram, Rajajinagar and Vijayanagar, usually run by the doctor who owns them.
  • Single-speciality centres for eyes, fertility, orthopaedics, dialysis and skin.
  • Ayurveda hospitals and treatment centres, which buy herbal medicines and oils more than surgical disposables.
  • Public hospitals such as Victoria Hospital and NIMHANS, which buy through tenders rather than sales calls.

Official records for Bengaluru hospitals

  • KPME registration. Every private hospital, nursing home, clinic and lab in Karnataka must register under the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments Act, with authorities at district level. That shows a place may operate; it is not a contact sheet.
  • NABH. The accreditation board names the hospitals it has accredited, mostly bigger ones with quality teams: worth checking if you sell infection control products, audits or quality software.
  • PM-JAY. Ayushman Bharat's hospital search, which in Karnataka runs together with the state's Arogya Karnataka scheme, shows empanelled hospitals by district. Hospitals outside the scheme do not appear.
  • CGHS. The Central Government Health Scheme lists the private hospitals it has empanelled in Bengaluru, a shortlist of established names.

None of them names the person who buys, and the number they show, like the one on a hospital's website, is usually the front desk.

What our hospitals in Bangalore list contains

The Hospitals & Nursing Homes in Bengaluru list has 1,995 entries. 88% come with a mobile number and 62% with a landline; 67% name a contact person, and 38% give an email address. 96% carry a PIN code, handy for splitting the city between field staff. The list page shows 60 sample rows, each field's share and the month of the last rebuild, with a free Excel sample.

Expect a mix: private and general hospitals, nursing homes, eye hospitals, Ayurveda centres and speciality units. Most rows carry a category, so filter that column first and set aside the types you do not serve. A few rows may be firms that work for hospitals rather than hospitals; delete them as you go.

Busiest areas in the file

These are the areas with the most businesses in this list:

  • Jayanagar: 57
  • Rajajinagar: 46
  • Basavanagar: 38
  • Malleshwaram: 37
  • Vijaya Nagar: 34
  • JP Nagar: 31
  • Bangalore G.P.O: 29
  • Koramangala: 28

Many rows have no area and some labels are post office names, so treat this as a sample, not a ranking of the city.

What Bengaluru hospitals buy, and from whom

  • Hospital software and health-tech firms, many based in the city, selling hospital information systems and billing, lab and pharmacy software.
  • Biomedical engineering services: calibration, repair and maintenance contracts for monitors, ventilators and imaging machines once warranties run out.
  • Contractors who service medical gas pipelines, lifts, DG sets and fire safety systems.
  • Biomedical waste collection by common treatment facilities authorised by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board.
  • Linen, laundry, housekeeping and security contractors, and agencies that place nurses, technicians and ward staff.
  • Pharma and surgical distributors, labs seeking outsourced tests, and insurance TPAs building hospital networks.

Victoria Hospital, NIMHANS and other public hospitals buy through their own tenders and the Government e-Marketplace instead; our GeM guide for sellers explains registration.

Reaching the buyer in a Bangalore hospital

  1. Work one type at a time. A dialysis unit and a 15-bed maternity home need different pitches, so call one category in a sitting.
  2. Ask for a role, not a name. At a nursing home, ask for the owner doctor or the manager; at a larger hospital, for purchase, biomedical engineering, housekeeping or IT, depending on what you sell. Naming the department gets you past reception faster.
  3. Pick the quiet hours. Mornings go on ward rounds and outpatient queues; early weekday afternoons usually find administrators at their desks.
  4. Make the first line specific. For example: "Namaskara. I'm Kavya from a Peenya firm that services oxygen and suction pipelines in hospitals. Who looks after your medical gas system, and may I email our maintenance checklist?" English is the working language of most hospital offices; a few words of Kannada help at older nursing homes.
  5. Plan visits by side of town. Keep Jayanagar, JP Nagar and Bannerghatta Road for one day, Rajajinagar, Vijayanagar and Malleshwaram for another, and Whitefield for a third, because crossing Bangalore at peak hours can take half a day.
  6. Stay within the rules. Check the DND rules before calls and SMS, and keep sales calls off casualty and ambulance lines.

Questions suppliers ask about Bangalore hospitals

Where can I find Bangalore hospitals' contact numbers?

Hospital websites and maps give reception and appointment numbers. A list adds mobile numbers, email addresses and contact names where known, in one sortable sheet.
