Where Hyderabad's hospitals are

A hospitals in Hyderabad list is a working tool for firms that sell to hospitals, and this guide is written for them, not for patients: if you need treatment, contact the hospital directly, and in an emergency dial 112, or 108 for an ambulance.

For a seller, the city's hospitals fall into a few belts:

• Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and Somajiguda: long the home of large private and corporate hospitals, with formal purchase departments and vendor approval.
• The western IT corridor: Madhapur, Kondapur, Gachibowli and the Financial District, where newer multi-speciality hospitals have opened near the tech campuses.
• Kukatpally, Miyapur and Secunderabad: busy residential and market areas full of mid-size hospitals and owner-run nursing homes.
• The east and the old city: Dilsukhnagar, LB Nagar and Malakpet on the Vijayawada side, and the small hospitals packed around Charminar and Santosh Nagar south of the Musi.
• Government teaching hospitals: Osmania General at Afzalgunj and Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad.

The Hospitals & Nursing Homes in Hyderabad list has 965 entries. 40% carry a mobile number and 82% a landline, which for a hospital is usually the board line; 59% have an email address, and 44% give a contact person's name. The list page shows 60 real rows and a free Excel sample.

Most entries are private hospitals and nursing homes, with general and single-speciality hospitals among them. Only 41% of rows have a category filled in, so read the names too: "nursing home", "maternity", "eye" or "children's" usually tells you what a place is. A few rows may be firms that serve hospitals rather than hospitals; set those aside.

Registers and free sources, and their limits

• District health offices. Private hospitals and clinics in Telangana register with the District Medical and Health Officer. Greater Hyderabad spans several districts, among them Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri, and no office publishes a sortable contact sheet.
• NABH. The accreditation board's list leans towards large hospitals with formal quality systems; the nursing homes of Kukatpally or Malakpet rarely appear.
• Aarogyasri and PM-JAY. Telangana's Aarogyasri scheme and Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY each let you search their empanelled hospitals. Handy if you sell claims or billing support, but hospitals outside the schemes are missing.
• CGHS. The Central Government Health Scheme lists the private hospitals it has empanelled in the city: useful, but partial.

Whatever the source, the number usually rings at reception or casualty. Ask for administration, and keep emergency and ambulance lines out of your call list.

Firms that sell to Hyderabad hospitals

• Equipment dealers and service engineers for patient monitors, ventilators, imaging and lab analysers, and the maintenance contracts that follow.
• Pharma stockists and surgical distributors supplying hospital pharmacies, and the city's own drug and device makers when they sell direct.
• Diagnostic labs collecting samples from nursing homes too small to run a full lab.
• Hospital software, billing and insurance desk services, including TPAs and cashless claim handlers.
• Air-conditioning and HVAC firms: the April and May heat strains operation theatre and ICU cooling, so pitch maintenance contracts before summer.
• Support services: biomedical waste collection, linen and laundry, housekeeping, security, nursing staff agencies, and upkeep of medical gas pipelines and lifts.

Calling Hyderabad hospitals: a working routine

1. Work one belt a day. Group the west (Gachibowli to Banjara Hills), the north-west with Secunderabad, and the east with the old city. Kondapur to LB Nagar is a long drive at peak hours.
2. Ask for a role, not a person. At a big hospital that means purchase, biomedical engineering or the administrator, depending on what you sell. At a nursing home the owner doctor decides, often with a manager who gathers quotes.
3. Choose the hour and the language. Reach administration offices before lunch and owner doctors after it, before evening consultations begin. English is standard at corporate hospitals; Telugu, and Hindi or Urdu, serve you well with smaller owners.
4. Open with a local detail. For example: "Good afternoon. I'm Kiran from a Kukatpally firm that maintains patient monitors and ventilators for hospitals across the city. Who looks after equipment servicing for you, and when is your current contract due for renewal?"
5. Send your papers the same day: PAN, GST registration, a cancelled cheque, product registrations where they apply, and two Hyderabad hospitals you already serve. Before any promotional call or SMS, check the DND rules.
